Events/Workshops coming up.....
Sunday 4 September 9.15am-12.45pm
|
Social change initiatives are consistently obstructed by issues of oppression that may seem peripheral to the main agenda. This workshop looks at how societies, communities and groups are divided when oppression goes unaddressed. Practical tools that help heal these divisions will be shared through experiential processes. The workshop will develop understanding of the structural nature of oppression in its diverse forms (racism, sexism, classism, ableism, and the oppression of young people, LBQTI ....etc.) as well as doing personal healing work - both of which are necessary for people to work effectively together. We see this as critical work for constructive social change.
